Inspection Details

Home Energy Audit- Wynne, AR.Our energy audit program is available to members at no cost. All homes are eligible for a walk-through audit, including a comprehensive inspection to check:

  • Lighting
  • Appliances
  • Water heaters
  • Insulation in the attic and crawl space
  • Air sealing measures

We’ll also do an infrared camera assessment.

We calculate the efficiency of a home by dividing the highest summer bill in the past 12 months by the square footage of the home. Homes with usage higher than $0.10 per square foot will generally have room become more energy efficient.

Estimate Your Home’s Energy Efficiency

Estimate your homes energy efficiency. 13 cents or higher: needs energy efficicent improvements. 9 cents to 12 cents: could be improved. 8 cents or less: energy efficient.

While a professional energy audit from your local cooperative is the best way to determine whether your home is energy-efficient, you can estimate your home’s energy efficiency.

  • Take your average electric bill and divide it by the square footage of your home
  • For example, a 1,800 square-foot home with a $260* average electric bill would cost 14 cents per square foot
  • *Amount may not include fuel cost adjustment

Homes that cost 9 cents or higher per square foot would benefit from energy-efficiency improvements.
